Pola is an at-home teeth whitening treatment that uses bespoke teeth whitening trays to improve the shade of your teeth. Your teeth whitening journey
Step 1: Whitening consultation
You will need to attend a consultation prior to starting the treatment process. We will check your teeth and gums to ensure they are healthy enough to proceed with a treatment like teeth whitening. Patients must have decay and disease-free teeth before proceeding with cosmetic dental treatment.
Step 2: Making your teeth whitening aligners
Impressions (moulds) of your teeth are taken so that the whitening trays can be made by Pola. The whitening trays are sent back to the practice.
Step 3: Whitening process
Your dentist will instruct you on how to apply the whitening gel to each groove in your whitening trays. You can decide whether to wear your trays by day or night (whichever works best for you).
Step 4: Top-ups
We recommend using whitening gel every 12 months to maintain the original results of treatment. Your dentist can provide you with these gels – please do not use any gel that has not been prescribed by your dentist.

I joined Ashbourne Dental after moving to the area. I’m very impressed with the level of care and quality of work by Dr Ahmad. He has been clear and transparent in explaining the process and treatment needed whilst also making me feel comfortable and at ease during the treatment. Today was my first appointment with Ashbourne Road Dental and I was very impressed! The Reception staff were very helpful, polite and well organised. The building itself is lovely and very clean! I have been visiting this dental practice for years now and in that time had a number of different dentists. My present, Dr Dawud Ahmad is keeping up the tradition of excellent service with a very friendly manner which puts me at ease.I especially like that he takes that little extra time on my six monthly checkups to give my teeth a quick clean, creating the feeling of value for money as well as a great service.

We had the dentist come to nursery to speak to our pre school children for national oral health day. The staff were amazing with the children talking to them and showing them how to clean their teeth correctly.
My first dentist appointment in 5 years. Always been a very nervous patient and the last dentist I saw made me feel so horrific about myself and I've been petrified since. Today was so totally different. Both staff in the room made me feel comfortable, I became upset as soon as they called my name and they sat me down with a glass of water, told me to forget about the appointment for a moment and had little chat to help calm me down. They asked if I was with someone and then fetched my husband from the waiting room to make me feel more comfortable. They were incredibly compassionate and made me feel more at ease than I've ever felt in my life at a dentist. Not my usual dentist but I was away from home when I chipped my front tooth and wanted it fixed asap. I managed to get an emergency dentist appt at Ashbourne road dental at short notice hoping for a temporary solution until I was back home and could see my own dentist. Not only was I able to be seen but I actually had a high quality painless and permanent fix on the day at a very reasonable price. Fantastic service that exceeded all expectations from Dr Hasaan and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly too. I don't live in Derby so probably won't be back but I would recommend this practice to anyone that does :)
I was not one that enjoyed going to the dentist, but since being at this practice it has been so much more easier. My dentist (Dr Rahman) makes me feel at ease and explains any treatment that might be needed. All the staff are great and helpful.

I was seen promptly and was dealt with kindness and courtesy. It was explained that esthetically my implants would look better if I had a graft onto the lower gum. I said I was not interested however as the lower teeth were not visible at any time, even when laughing, so the Dentist was happy to proceed on the basis that the implants would be visible, but only to me! I was then given an appointment for the proper teeth to be fitted after numerous photos were taken.
