Our facial aesthetics treatments are preceded by a consultation. This is an important step, allowing your practitioner to assess if you are medically suitable for treatment. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are not suitable for treatment.

The lips and surrounding area of the skin are closely examined. We will ask you a few questions about your lifestyle to ascertain how this may have affected the quality of the skin on the lips. Your practitioner will pinpoint where to administer the fillers to achieve the type of definition, contouring and plumping you are hoping for.

The filler contains a numbing agent that will ensure you feel only some very light pressure when administered. The treatment process takes just 10-15 minutes.

How do lip fillers work?

Lip fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid, which exists naturally in the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a moisture-drawing, naturally occurring substance in the skin. The fillers reinstate lost supplies of hyaluronic acid to the lip area, leaving you with younger-looking lips.

Can I have lip fillers if I naturally have thin lips?

Yes. We treat many patients who naturally have a thin lip area.

How long do lip fillers last?

Lip fillers last for approximately 6 months. 4-6-monthly top-up treatments are recommended to maintain the results.

Are there any treatment side effects?

Some minor side effects, including redness and bruising, are common in the days following treatment. These side effects should not last for longer than 48 hours.

My first dentist appointment in 5 years. Always been a very nervous patient and the last dentist I saw made me feel so horrific about myself and I've been petrified since. Today was so totally different. Both staff in the room made me feel comfortable, I became upset as soon as they called my name and they sat me down with a glass of water, told me to forget about the appointment for a moment and had little chat to help calm me down. They asked if I was with someone and then fetched my husband from the waiting room to make me feel more comfortable. They were incredibly compassionate and made me feel more at ease than I've ever felt in my life at a dentist. Everything was explained to me clearly and they've made me feel so much better about my dental situation that I cried again from relief. Not my usual dentist but I was away from home when I chipped my front tooth and wanted it fixed asap. I managed to get an emergency dentist appt at Ashbourne road dental at short notice hoping for a temporary solution until I was back home and could see my own dentist. Not only was I able to be seen but I actually had a high quality painless and permanent fix on the day at a very reasonable price. Fantastic service that exceeded all expectations from Dr Hasaan and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly too. I don't live in Derby so probably won't be back but I would recommend this practice to anyone that does :)

I was seen promptly and was dealt with kindness and courtesy. It was explained that esthetically my implants would look better if I had a graft onto the lower gum. I said I was not interested however as the lower teeth were not visible at any time, even when laughing, so the Dentist was happy to proceed on the basis that the implants would be visible, but only to me! I was then given an appointment for the proper teeth to be fitted after numerous photos were taken.
